Another successful mower in the Husqvarna group, the 5521 is a push mower ( no power to wheels) with a 21 inch rotary cutter. A well made basic mower but with all that’s necessary and great dollar value.
Its very large 12 inch back wheels and 8 inch front, make this 60 pound mower more suitable and maneuverable in rougher terrain. The cutting capabilities are three, side discharge, mulch or rear cuttings collection.
The mowers handles can be neatly folded down for storage, easy tightening bolts to lock it up.
The cuttings bag holds 2.5 cu ft , which is a good size, making it ok for medium size yards. Pushing really takes no effort at all due to the high quality ball race bearings on the wheels. Grass cutting height has 5 increments from 1.25 to 3.42 inch , set with levers on each wheel, simple and effective but a bit old style, many mowers now having a single convenient lever to raise or lower the wheels.
What our buyers say….
I am glad I did, as this mower is great. Assembly was straight forward, very simple. The thing that impressed me was how easy it started the first time and every time since. One pull and it’s running.
I was very impressed with this lawn mower right out of the box! It has always started on the first pull. I like the fact that one does not have to worry with a choke or priming! It really provides a smooth cut and plenty of power.
Have used it a month now on a 1/2 acre lot and it’s everything I expected–and more. EZ no-prime quick start, light and manageable around corners, shrubs, etc. and shreds the grass clippings so fine you can’t tell the difference between mulching and bagging.
